Hmm I was remembering it as the 888x and Skyline being contemporaries with the Skyline replacing the 888 and the 888x being a cheapened model after the 09 888 was discontinued. Maybe they just decided to keep the Skyline around for a long time like the Superstar and I have a bad memory.

I just meant they stopped selling the 888 as a high end model with the Skyline taking it’s place as a premium undersized yoyo with stacks.
