# Kitty vs. Ammo

I like both but I can’t decide what is better. Please help.

I find kitty to be a bit coarse/rough on my hands until it really breaks in. ammo feels softer out of the package. However, Ammo is a bit more expensive than kitty.

I sent you a more thorough response to your PM, but to sum up.

Ammo - Slightly thicker, softer, better longevity

Kitty Fat - Cheaper, still a great string

So it all depends on your budget and whether you’re the kind of person who swaps out yoyo strings quickly because they love that bounce. I do feel that Ammo is the overall superior string, but then that that does come with the caveat of a higher price.

I have nothing against Fat Kitty, it’s a great string and used by many-a-pro. I’m just an Ammo man through and through, it’s all I use. The softness on the fingers was the determining factor for me, means I can play for longer with less discomfort. 🙂

Ive been digging ammo, its so soft i can play for hours with no burns or discomfort, kitty is good too but i think ammo has the right weight and float for some smooth slack tricks
