# Kickside mod

So I am brand new to yo-yoing i just ordered my first yo-yo last Saturday. It is a YYJ kickside (white) and I was wondering if I have to do anything to it. Also tell me if yo-yoing is the correct term thanks

If you are new to this, I wouldn’t suggest modding it yet.
And yes, yo-yoing is the correct term.

There are many, many things you can do. I’ll just list a few.
Silicone
Satin
Add shims
Upgrade bearing
That’s just some of the stuff I could think up of off the top of my head, but there is literally an endless amount of mods you can do if you have the tools for it.

Welcome to the world of yo-yoing. Modds are only limited to the imagination of the person thinking them up. Needless to say but the sky is the limit.
