I have never seen anyone here talk about this yoyo. Has anyone here played with one? ---

it’s a nice solid yoyo with good performance. It’s a little lack luster compared to JTs other throws though. Also it’s not that similar to the mirage. ---

No i was mentioning the original version. The new one looks stellar. ---

Well, this isn’t gonna be valuable information on a scale of useful information but since I had one, and you’re asking about it, I will tell you what I think of it. I’m an amateur point of view. At one time, I had two Frost yo-yos in one Ribira and one Lapua. So after a while… Somebody was looking for a JT Frost and I had two so I sold one. And then someone was looking for a Lapua for at least two or three weeks with no luck so I thought about it and I sold them my Lapua. Then, much later someone was looking for a JT Ribira…. I contacted the guy and told him that if he lived another week or two with no luck that I would sell in mine. That’s just something I’ve done over the years for many years now.. I told the guy I have a JT Frost but I know that’s not what he’s looking for.. He responded by saying well actually I’m really looking for the Frost, but I seem to have more difficulty finding that one so I didn’t even mention it in my recent post. Next thing you know I have…no Lapua…zero Frosts… and 1 Ribira. And because it was mentioned above, the one that I had, the Lapua, was the original recipe To me, the Lapua just felt heavy on the string and somewhat sluggish. The Frost felt more powerful, yet seemed to slow down faster… The Ribira is not very powerful and is not very fast in comparison. But feels lighter on the string and more directional. Basically just quicker. And I still have it, lol. I have several Japan Tech yoyos. And every one is excellent. My comparisons of the 3 mentioned, is not meant to cast any shade on the Lapua. Just pointing out thoughts on how they differ to me. …. as an abstract… Think of it this way. There is a beauty contest with 10 female contestants. At the end of the judging, they decide which one is the winner. The one that moved in to the undisputed number one position and gets all the prizes. That in no way means that the girl that finished in 10th place is an ugly duckling. Every single woman in the contest may be a beauty. But when they compare all the features and their skill sets and their personalities and whatever… They just put them in a certain order. And just like a yo-yo contest, first place 2nd Pl. in third place can be within an a point of each other. PS… I must not be paying attention because I didn’t knew they came out with a new Lapua model. I would bet good money it probably runs circles around the original model. Or it certainly wouldn’t be a very bright idea to give it the same name would it?
