# Jade whip/ iron whip problem

So I’m having trouble properly whipping the string on to the yoyo in these two tricks. I always whip on the wrong side of the yoyo. Any tips on how to aim my whip and get the trick down would be awesome!

I used to point my index finger towards the gap of the yoyo. That sorted it out for me.
