It’s also worth noting that the profile doesn’t tell the full story. I’m not super familiar with CLYW’s stuff; do these all have similar cup designs as well? Are any bimetal? Those two things will also greatly affect the weight as well as the distribution of that weight. ---

One thing I would note is that in my understanding of the design process for this YoYo, Ayumu was very particular in what he wanted and there was a substantial amount of prototyping and trial-and-error. I don’t know how all throws are designed, maybe sometimes a company just sends a guy three yo-yos and says “Pick one as your new throw”. But that definitely isn’t what happened here. ---

There’s very little significant variation in the shape of a lot of their releases. Like I said above it doesn’t take too much to make them feel different I’m sure, but it’d be cool to see them try different stuff more often. ---
