# Is red rtv gasket maker self leveling?

The way i do it is pretty easy i apply it rather liberally then wet the tip of my finger and wipe off the excess and dont worry if you get it in the baering seat just wait until it drys and peel it out

You shouldn’t need it. Applying RTV is actually easier than flowable if you’ve received proper directions (which you have). Just put it in, scrape off the excess, and let it set.

This is how you use red gasket, you should never use your finger for anything.
