# Is polyester yoyo string bonded?

Is polyester yoyo string typically bonded, or unbonded?

Polyester string can be made out of two types of polyester, bonded or unbonded. If my memory serves me correctly I remember bonded being the stiffer strings like some of the toxic’s.

That’s what I was heading towards.  
It seems to me some of the stiffer strings are probably bonded, where the others are not.

Knowing that, you could decide if you prefer bonded or unbonded string, which would help guide you when picking new threads.

Of course assuming you know which strings are bonded and which are not.

I have a dresser drawer full of thread from when i used to make it, hmm, I am running low…
