This is now easily my favorite post. i feel bad though that there are places that don’t accept those who are different. my school embraces those who are unique (omg i spelled it correctly).

Haha, exactly.
Here, in this part of the world, yoyos are branded 6-9 year old TOYS.
If you’re a guy, with a yoyo, you’re probably gonna get laughed at or smirked at, whatever.
Mind you having a PINK yoyo around…

well, i think everyone brands yoyos children’s toys, but that is before they see the potential of the new modern yoyos. really the only way to stop being insulted is to spread awareness of yoyos and then people may respect us more. but i do love my school for being accepting of all things abnormal.

Well, at my school… everyone thinks yoyoing is just up and down movement. They don’t get that yoyoing is a hobby and that there are so many more styles of play.

Pink and purple yoyos rock.
Why do I love em so much?
Because girls do too… :wink:
I never cop beef for my yoyoing, sure people make stupid sideways comments in passing, but they know that whatever they say is unjustified.
Often, I just pull the yoyo off my finger and try to hand it to them for them to have a go.
They either a) refuse and walk away or b) try to yoyo, fail and walk away

Lend them a cheap useless yoyo like a duncan butterfly and tell them to throw it they probably can´t throw it, you tell them :you can´t even throw a yoyo. Don’t lend them a good yoyo I did this to my friend and when he saw he couldn’t throw it he was going to smash it on the floor. A thing I dislike about non yoyoers is that they think yoyoing is easy and that a cheap 1 dollar yoyo like a butterfly plays the same as yoyo like a speeder or a pgm.

me(you)-I’m not the one who has nothing better to do then make others feel bad.
insultor-Well, i’m not the one playing with a kids toy.
At that point
A) Walk away
B) Think of something more to say
C) Say “I hope you like this trick, it’s called 20,00 bc.” At that point stop your yo-yo. Go into a double or nothing, but not on the string, and swing, man, swing.
