“Insane grail” - lmao. I can’t with these sort of people.
The secondary yoyo market is such an entertaining topic for me. It’s machined aluminum. It’s so re-producible and rudimentary. We’re really fortunate yoyo’ing is such a niche hobby. If it was any bigger, with all this flipping, China would be making superclones of the Peak.

Here’s a good one.
I’m not seeing for a second either one of these guys is totally wrong for coming up with their own prices. Why? Well, I guess it’s because it’s their prices, lol.
Some people that are on the inside of yo-yo‘s and you’re related, etc.… They have a pretty good idea of of what a yo-yo should be worth could be worth might be worth.
Rare color way… Limited edition… Signature model of world, champion, signed by the champion… a titanium Masterpiece, hand carved with a butter knife from a solid block of medical grade titanium while standing outside during a stage four hurricane and singing Taylor Swift songs using a voice that sounds like porky, pig, etc.
I guess something’s gonna be expensive? Or people think they are expensive.
Those are the people on the outside… You know the ones the ones that think us on the inside are a bunch of crazy lunatics with strings on our fingers running around drinking Red Bull and making our own money, because we’re crazy that way.
Some of you guys probably remember the old story I told about the two guys on the corner, across the street from each other. They both had fruit carts. The guy in the one side of the street had a fruit cart with yo-yo’s stacked as high as a pyramid. There was a sign on the side of the cart that said oranges $.50 apiece.
On the other side of the street was a guy that had a little red wagon. He had one orange on it. And a little sign taped to the side of the wagon that said $5000.
Curious guy walks up to the guy with the one orange, and asked him what’s the big idea? That guy across the street is selling all the oranges you can put in the bag for basically peanuts.
The guys response was simple. He said my competitor across the street. Can be there all day selling oranges for $.50 apiece.
All I need to do is sell one and I’m done.
I’m very aware of the fact that that story is kind of cool and dumb at the same time.
Just like people that post up yo-yo’s and want a bucket of blood for them.
It’s kind of cool to see the post and at the same time kind of dumb that they could even think of asking so much and hoping that guy that bought that one $5000 orange will still have enough money left to pay through the nose for their stupid yo-yo.
So I’m posting two screenshots I made just for contrast. I am not saying that the one guy is not asking enough. And at the same time, I have no idea why the other guy is asking so much?
One thing I personally wonder is whether both people have seen each other’s ads for the cold fusions? I mean the one guy’s got a buy it now for 490.If he lands on the other guys ad for 2000, I wonder what he thinks?
And on the other hand, the guy with the $2000 Cold Fusion, if he just happens to be curious enough to see what other people are asking, and he sees the one for a quarter of the price of his listed as brand new also, I wonder if that makes him consider maybe he’s trying to bite off a big chunk a change that’s not there?
Anyway, here’s the pics, if anybody bothers to read this post, post your thoughts on the contrast between these two sellers ideas of what a cold fusion is worth. Thank you.
