# Im new to yoyoing and I cant do Braintwister

On the first wrap, it just stops spinning. I’m using Magicyoyo k2 crystal

It takes a lot of practice. It took me weeks to learn it. Make sure you’re starting with a good, straight throw that has a decent amount of spin.

Make sure you’re throwing a good strong, straight sleeper, and that you are keeping your strings in line.

2nd 3rd 4th and 5thing everything everyone else said. String straight sleeper and alignment of strings is crucial.
Is the yoyo simply stopping its spin or is it leaning to one side at all or getting twisted up in the string?

Had a similar issue to OP when I tried to learn this trick many years ago. Each ‘twist’ would bleed away much of my spin, leaving it hard to get the yoyo back at the end (if it was still spinning at all)

You WILL get it! I learned on a Sage set up responsive. When I did my first successful Brain Twister I felt like a kid on Christmas morning. It was the most exciting evening I’ve had in years. Keep pushing!

It is definitely more difficult to do the Brain Twister on a responsive, not impossible though. Try starting of with 1 twist and work your way up. That could help.
