There’s been a lot of comments about the raw wood on the jamboo, some good, some bad. I’d say it’s in between. But this yoyo deserves a nice finish. Mine was relatively smooth to start off so no major complaints in that department, but YYJ just didn’t finish the job. So I did… Besides, raw wood yoyos get nasty looking from oil on your hands. I used 3 coats of Watco clear oil topped off w/2 coats of clear poly. After (almost ready to go) [http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/5210/jamboo3bii4.jpg](http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/5210/jamboo3bii4.jpg) The Watco oil was applied/rubbed in with 600 grit wet/dry paper. I allowed it to soak for 30 minutes, then rubbed it dry w/a cloth. The first coat of poly was wet sanded (600 grit) before the second coat was applied. The o-ring and bearing recesses were masked off before the poly was applied. They did get the oil treatment however. ---
