# hyper freehand?

I’ve heard that the hyper freehand caps can’t be removed because they’ve been sonic welded in. And if this is true would a modder have trouble recessing it on a lathe?

It’s true regarding the caps.

Would a modder have problems? Perhaps. Depends on the experience of the modder on putting it level on the lath when clamping it down. If the caps are flat, it shouldn’t be a bit deal. If they stick out like with the Unleashed yoyos, then it might be a problem. I think with all my Duncans, they are flat on the outside, caps or no caps.
