I was commissioned a little while back to work on this. The first one I made as a large bearing, and vibed like mad, no matter what I did. I decided to give it a shot using a ‘D’ size bearing. Turned out fantastic. Weights in right at 65 grams with the weight rings. Out of curiosity, did you give the first one a shot without rings? I find that mine is much more forgiving without them. And what are you looking to do with the botched one? ---

Any bearing can be loud or quiet.
