# Hubstack o-ring

I’m looking to hubstack my yyf five, and I’m trying to just assemble the parts a la carte. I ordered some A bearings off amazon, had a friend 3d print some hubstacks, and returned some 007 o-rings back to amazon that were too thick and caused the hubstack/bearing to not spin because of interference. Does anyone have a link of some o-rings they have used/ were successful with? I know I can go to a hardware store, and dig around, but I thought it would be nice to have a location for people here.

Not cheaper, but it does have more value. Looking around right now , hubstack kits with bearings, o-rings, and plastic pieces are for sale for about $20. If you have a 3-D printer, or have a friend who does, for the same cost you can buy 100 o-rings and 10 bearings. I was playing around with a magic yo-yo k2, you can occasionally buy them for under $10, and I tried to rob the snacks off of it, and found out that magic yo-yo uses different bearings and o-rings. It prompted my search.

I’m not sure I always get o-rings from McMaster Carr but I’ve never had to buy hubstack ones. I always have extras from buying hubstack kits in bulk. 🤷♂️

I was curious about the o-ring size for hubstacks myself. I have no experience with modding hubstacks, but you might try your local hardware store. Mine has loads of sizes a la carte, just a few cents each. You should be able to bring your bearing, post, and/or yoyo in to make sure you get two that fit.
