If I click on someone’s avatar, a window pops up with a big red Message button. ---

It’s the same for me but with light mode. “Dark is objectively better because it’s using less energy to emit less light, which you perceive as dark, which is also less taxing on your eyes” but whatever. It’s up to _preference_! ---

You cannot send them right away.
