# How to Make A Stock FHZ unresponsive without a lathe

I tried taking a pad out, it works, but not completely. Any help? ???

Clean the bearing and replace the friction stickers with a single silicone sticker or Dif pads.

You can also add larger spacers.

Also, instead of using a lathe, you can always use a drill.

As the above comments suggest… My FHZ is stock with one well worn down silicone sticker, the large spacers and a nice broken in bearing.
