# how to clean bearings?

i got a brand new dv888 and after about an hour of play it went really responsive so i think the bearing needs to be clean. what do you use to clean them?

You can use a cleaner such as mineral spirits or lighter fluid to break down the gunk in the yoyo. There is [this](http://yoyoexpert.com/forums/index.php/topic,871.0.html) handy dandy guide on how to clean it from there.
