# How do I deshield a bearing?

I tried looking it up, and I found what I believe is the c clips. I tried taking a pin to it, but the opening seemed to small. Where could I find the c clips?

There on the very outside edge of the bearing under that tiny lip. If you stick a pin under that lip and keep turning the bearing you’ll feel it pop into the opening and than its just a matter of prying it out.
