# Hire Yo-Yo expert for music video

Hi all - I am doing a small budget music video in Los Angeles and would love to include someone doing some of the incredible yo-yo tricks I’ve seen here. It will shoot Jan 8 or Jan 9. The pay is $100, but it won’t be more than a couple hours of filming. It is a pop song that should get some nice exposure and will be a very cool video. If you are interested, please send me something of you doing your tricks. If you are under 18, please get your parents permission - a guardian would need to be with you when we film. It will be a lot of fun and be a very cool video, please let me know if you have questions!

Hey guys - I can’t upload the song because it hasn’t released yet, the album releases next year. But it’s a pop, contemporary kind of song, something you’ve hear on KROQ (the musician is probably most heard on this kind of station). I will give all details to the guy who does it - and even play the song on the phone to you if you like before we shoot. If you hate the song and change your mind at that point, no problem (but it’s a cool song, you won’t).
The videos that have been sent have been really great (THANK YOU) and I’ll be picking someone in the next few days. So if anyone else still wants to submit, please do!

Hmmm, $100 is some good pay for someone under 18. I live pretty close to the “studio” area of LA, so it wouldn’t be far.
BUT, i would not want to do it for a cheesy pop song that is made using more money than skill. you did mention low budget, but i would still like to know some basics of the song, starting with who is the artist?

Can we NOT make this about the style of music? If you don’t like the style, don’t do the gig.
I wouldn’t worry about the basics of anything, or even if it is a song about old ladies and chainsaw murder, you either want to do the gig or not.

that would be a funny, yet sick in both the bad and good way, song.
but we can at least find out who the artist is. and after thinking of this for a bit, i would be down to do this at least so i could meet up with some other yoyoers in the area. AND get paid.

Legitimate thought. Maybe what their worry about the music is content and language. If you could tell them that the song is either clean, risque, vulgar or just a song that is perfectly fine for anyone’s grandma to hear without freaking out would be nice.
This was they can give you what you want without having to chose a second or third because of the song. I don’t think that if they just don’t like the song, they won’t do it.
