After reading about red triangles, I decided I wanted to learn it. I learned the easy way-simple. But I found this tutorial on youtube, and it looks cool, but I can not for the life of me get the finger curl part right to turn it into the RT. Please help.

i think this is a easier way,

-trapeze, with index and thumb  
-turn the loop, by bringing the index away from u and the thumb towards u  
-then grab/hook the string attached to yor hand and pull it through the loop
