# Help with popping the yo-yo up

As the title says, i can’t seem to pop the yo-yo up after i land it in a trapeze. I put my hands together and pull apart, but it does not pop straight in the air like Andre’s. all of your suggestions will be appreciated!

after you pull your hands apart, immediatly bring them together, the out again. Bringing your hands together gives the yoyo more string to go up, and pulling them apart again guides thr yoyo back onto the string. keep practicing

Are you trying to do Eli Hops? Eli Hops requires the string to always be tight, no slack when its in the air. You use your non-throwhand finger to keep the tension on the string and use that finger to control where the yo-yo lands.

I think he is trying to just pop it off trapeze with a responsive yoyo so it comes back to your hand. And if that’s the case you need to move your none throw hand off the string and out of the way once you pop the yoyo up.
