Hello, I am currently stuck about halfway through the trick Tressley Capris that Chuck did for a CLYW tutorial. Even if I slow down the video, his hands kind of block a portion of what I am trying to see, so I can’t see exactly which string he is hitting. Thank you in advance!! ---

Yo I haven’t learned this trick but I watched the vid and understand what is supposed to happen. I’m down to help you figure out where youre going wrong. Easiest way to do that would be if you sent a vid attempting the trick and then you can show where you unsure of where to go exactly. Also if you dont want to do that, you could try the different options for where to land and see which one resolves where you want. A timecode for the part youre unsure about would help also. Edit: okay I learned it. Lemme know where you’re stuck and I can help or maybe reference the front view slow-mo and that could help. ---

I don’t really have a good way to get a video of myself attempting the trick but I can try. I am stuck at around 55 seconds (top down slo mo section) or around 1:36 (front view slo mo section) as I can do the trick to that point but I am unsure what string he hits when he brings the yoyo over his non throw hand thumb, then also what strings he drops after he rolls it over his throw hand index finger. Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it! I have seen a couple other people online video themselves doing the trick but they don’t do a breakdown of it. ---

When you drop the strings, drop the string off nth index and the front segment on th index. Don’t let the string fall into the gap like I did in this video. Here’s a quick breakdown starting from the submount. Hopefully this will help it make sense but if youre still unsure let me know and I can try to break it down more w slowmo or smt no problem ---

So I think I have the submount into chopsticks part but I am trying to upload a video of me attempting it, yet the website doesn’t like that. What is the best way to post a video here?? ---

Got it. I do have a question now: when rolling the yoyo towards the chopstick to go over your thumb, are you supposed to hit the string connected to your off hand thumb and index?? ---

I just figured it out! I am supposed to hit the chopstick string, I kept going in front of it, it makes more sense now lol
