# Help: Weird triangle?

So I’m on a binge of WYYC videos and I’m befuddled with what happens at 2:55 on this video. Seems like some crazy GT suicides, but then he misses the last throw on purpose and it comes back still in the GT…anyone?

Do you want to know how to do it exactly like Evan? If not then here are some tutorials that will get you into essentially same mount AFAIK.

You can follow this tutorial for ping pong but instead of dropping all the strings at 45 seconds from your NTH, just drop the red highlighted string from NTH over the blue string. The easiest way to do that is to hook the blue loop with NTH index and pull it behind the red string.

The trick is based on a technique called knot isolation. Here’s more info from DocPop. You could come up with your own variation.
