the part where go into a trapeze and you wrap the string around your TH and then swing the yoyo over through the loop, tht was formed by your TH, into a wrist mount

in the video it is at about  
0:02-0:03  
0:09-0:11  
0:20-0:21

It is exactly as you said it is. You are putting the yo-yo through the hole you made.

It will take a little bit if practice to work up to the accuracy needed. But you’ll get it.
