The company has had an amazing run since their inception back in early 2012. They have released the much-loved Albatross and the underrated Nessie, both in a regular and AL7 variant, the latter being machined with 7075 aluminum. They ended the year on a high, receiving YoYoSkills’ New Manufacturer of the Year award… not bad for a company that was “born” in early 2012. Their latest release is the celestially named Triton, their first since receiving that coveted award at the end of 2012 and their first release in 2013. Now it is time to see if the Triton becomes another heavenly body in the yo-yo universe or if it will flame out quickly like a meteor hitting our atmosphere. **Link to High Speed YoYo reviews has been removed. I got my Triton today and I love it! It’s up there with my all time favorites. Full-sized, stable, grooves, powerful spins, beautiful anno (Freedom color), Gruntbull blast, flowable sillicone response, One Drop 10-ball bearing, a nice mix of modern and classic (organic) shapes. Thrilled! ---

The review is referring to the og Aluminum Triton from 2013 era The version’s one, two and three are referring to the Titanium Triton released a few years ago. Various subtle changes were made between the versions before the final release of version three I believe. @G2_Jake can correct me if I’m wrong ---

Looks correct. Most drastic changes came from 1 to 2. Production is middle ground of v2 and v3. V2, 3, and production are all very good and production worthy. ---

Having all 4 I can also confirm, the adjustments are all very minor. V1 to v2 is probably the biggest adjustments. Theres really small things after that to help differentiate them all ---

Personally, I’ve never tried version one. And I had never tried virgin two and of course I never got around to try version three and finally, I never bought the production release. A few months ago, a titanium triton version two on the BST on this forum. The one that I got had a blue finish. So I immediately knew that I was gonna turn it into a two, because I mainly preferred titanium, yo-yos that look like titanium, believe it or not. So I get done customizing it and I decided at about four in the morning when I’d give it a throw or two? So an hour later it’s five in the morning and I’m still shaking my head for two reasons first of all what the heck am I doing up at five in the morning when I got to get up at nine to get ready for work? Version two is so good why was I not smart enough to already have one? Personally, I think Jake wears scuba gear when he’s designing these yo-yo I say that because that extra dose of oxygen must make him see in to the next dimension where every yo-yo feels great, looks great, spins like a silent slice of night, etc.. Obviously, I’m not giving him two thumbs up for being a genius and hitting everything out of the park on the first try, lol after all, he took a couple swings before he knocked this one into the nosebleed section what I’m trying to say is he doesn’t release them until they’re done.
