Not sure if you were joking, but if a thread has no replies, it will keep getting bumped whenever an edit is made. It’s good etiquette to add the first reply so that it doesn’t look like you’re spamming your sales thread every time you edit.
(I’m only mentioning this because I’ve accidentally done edit bumps on both of the sales threads I’ve made here. The guilt forever haunts me.)
