I don’t _really_ miss any of my bearing throws other than my Loop 720s. The Imperials just aren’t hacking it as a replacement. The last time I changed the Imperials’ strings the pair started responding wildly different from each other, even with both double looped. ---

As someone who has been trying to improve StM for years, you may not want to take a tip from me. But… yesterday I had a bit of a breakthrough, I found that I was able to keep the angle of the yo-yo straighter and in line with the string by using a bit more of a push with my arm and not my wrist. It doesn’t take much to just keep the momentum going if you can manage to keep the yo-yo and string in line. ---

Maybe try shortening your string? I used one of my 2A setups with ridiculously short strings to work on it. You can also try working Planet Hops to get a feel for it facing downward. I’ve been working Planet Hops and Milk the Cow (both hands Planet Hops) a lot recently and those definitely helped. ---
