Speaking of KNack protos, I just got a couple of them in the mail myself today 😃
Wanted these more than the actual run because I love the Spinworthy’s previous signature (imo) aesthetic of the sharp edges. Ive been throwing them all morning and they are fantastic! Definitely in another league compared to my other wooden fixies (OUT and Fallen 44). The response is the perfect tug responsive almost regardless of string torsion. They never snag unexpectedly or sleep without responding. And the weight, ~~maple~~ beech vs oak, honestly I love both for what they are. The light yoyo for the stalls and such, and the heavier one for tricks that require longer sleepers. I like the shape even more than my Harbinger, though tbh im not sure if im going to have much use for those finger cups.

On my scale they come out as 54g and 46g (+/- 1g). Also a correction on the wood. The lighter one is Beech, the heavier White Oak. Forgive me Glen ☹

I bought these because I was impressed with the Harbinger (I think v3?). You will be happy with yours without a doubt, these yoyos are the real deal.
After a bit more time with them, im leaning towards the lighter (Beech) one a bit more. It’s just godly smooth and amazing. The oak is great, but could use a couple g’s to add to the spin time. Im eyeing that KNack he made out of the Purleheart with envy.

No KNack for me…yet. Throwing these beauties. I think my favorite part about the BC Apollo is the split section of seeing the laminations when doing a regen.

They look sharp 🕶, for sure.
As much as I frequently jam out with my boon/harbinger, I’m really looking forward to playing with a rounder spinworthy.

Sharp Spinworthy is best Spinworthy 😛
Seriously though, it isnt so bad on the catch. It might be slightly sharper than the release model, but from images it also looks like a fairly squared off throw. Id buy one to compare, but im pretty happy with mine so I wont.
Also, I lied about the dimples. Been playing around with them for the past hour or so, and once I figured out the touch it is a cool addition to my combos. Doing the tape measure without even having to release the yoyo looks and feels cool, and im having some fun with variations of this. You can also pull start it like hubstacks, but don’t expect long combos (unless you are really good maybe, lol). Really fun, never thought I would add these kind of tricks to my fixed axle play. Also the Beech version is still the best.
edit: horizontal tape measure (can you even call it tape measure now?) successfully completed on a wooden fixie. Im expecting a short fingerspin now from the experts on this thing. Has anyone every done fingerspins on a fixed axle?

Theres definitely some cool things you can do with the dimples. Fingerspin may be possible, but you can also pull start in any direction.
I have a combo where do a backhand catch then pull start the yoyo from there into a lunar landing.

You seriously need to convince Kyle to try to capture a fingerspin on this. Or @EOS44, I’m sure that if it is possible either of those guys could pull it off.
As for pull starts in all directions, that is what makes it more versatile than I originally thought. So far the best thing I’ve done is pull start to a sleeper to a trapeze stall, but I’m also a 1A player who is admittedly out of practice with 0A atm. Horizontal tape measures are actually easier, and I’m getting into a small habit of doing a few in a row between my combos. Thanks again for making this awesome yoyo @anon5341354 😃
