They redesigned the Butterfly mold this year, its a way better yoyo than its ever been. The psychs, those purples, all store bought (with 2022 copyright on the packaging), these new pastels are made from the new mold.
I’m for sure collecting all 4 of the pastels lol

To add to this, the translucent purple is exclusive to Amazon (and available right now!), and there is another (translucent pink?) exclusive to Target

I don’t trust it as the same 2022 , it has an ARGSL stamp and not the AWDHY stamp seen in @bjardin post above.

Hello all. Those date codes don’t mean anything publicly. We use them as an identifier
I shouldn’t be saying this but, Both date codes can be run on the same mold, but on different day/month/week. but the same mold. Many other internal identifiers too.
This new color is part of the fresh mold that we had for the Psychedelic Butterfly, so I’m confident to say that it should perform the same with Psychedelics or maybe even better!

These were licensed to us. It’s Butterfly XT, but transaxle. (90% sure) it’s been a while.

My local target had $3 butterflies and imperials (but none pink) in the discount section right when you walk in this weekend, but I had made it very clear to my kids ahead of time that we wouldn’t be getting toys this trip, so it seemed hypocritical to pick one up.

if/when I see them in stores i’m going to be looking out fo rthe copyright date on the package. @Exmime found a butterfly in store with that copyrigth date, where other runs have had older copyright dates.
