# First non organic yoyo?

Was it the YYF G5? I’m trying to think of other non round shapes that may have come earlier but none come to mind. All the YYJ stuff I can think of was round.

G5 and Envy were developed almost simultaneously if I recall correctly.

We were first to market, Envy was way more radical.

Go to [USPTO.gov](http://USPTO.gov) and look at yoyo patents. nothing is new.
