You should be doing it exactly the same. Throwing across your body and throwing into the yoyo to bind. It will be spinning relative to your throw. Also make sure your string tension is pretty neutral. That helps me alot. Its hard to whip that slack if it wants to twist.

Awesome! Thank you! Ugh string tension is the worst when you throw left handed. I have tried lefty twist string before and I don’t like it, at least what I bought, I am currently having zipline making me a lefty twist in antifreeze regs. I am getting a regular pack too so I can really compare them. Thanks again!

been playing for almost 2 years and still can’t bind a fingerspin lol, and I have done a 5 and a half minute fingerspin.
