# Finger spin problems

Hello. I bought 2 strixes and I wanted to learn finger spins. I can pop it onto my finger and have it spin easily from a horizontal breakaway. But when I do it from a front throw it always seems like it bounces off my finger. Also, it doesn’t spin as long. For a third problem, I don’t know how to pop it on my finger before the yoyo starts to UFO, which drastically kills the spin time. Any help is appreciated

You gotta be patient. One of the problems could be you’re not throwing it right. Try to throw it straighter.

I always finger spin from a horizontal breakaway. It makes it much easier to incorporate fingerspins into horizontal combos. And you can banana turnover before popping the yoyo onto your finger, which gives you more accuracy- to avoid the UFO.
