# Filter to deal with spam accounts

New accounts keep joining this forum who hide a link in their first post that leads to a gambling website. They hide it like this . ← this dot is a hidden link  
A filter could easily take care of this problem.

Maybe, maybe not. Takes extra programming that isn’t included in the support contract. We moderators try to watch things closely, sometimes we may miss one for a couple of days but we usually catch up with them.

i have a website that i manually manage every member that tries to join…. but it takes work, and it’s a much smaller animal  
than this

I forgot, we do have the akismet plugin that alerts us to suspicious users and/or posts, but it’s not fool proof.
