Are the normal Ti side effects from one drop supposed to fit the moistemaker? I didn’t order the set from you when I ordered the Yoyo as I already had a full set from one drop, but when I tried to swap the stock set for some ti orbs the Yoyo wouldn’t fully tighten up. I noticed the axle seemed longer so I measured the flat caps from one drop and the stock moistmaker set and there is enough of a difference that none of the one drop ones fit enough to fully tighten. Not sure if the axles are thread locked in these. Maybe try screwing the side effecs together amd measure the set. If the axle moves or goes further into the other SE, these measurements may not be accurate. Also looks like axels are different materials? ---

The one drop ones (black) are thread locked. The stock Fellhoelter ones (silver) are not and the axle can unscrew right out. The one drop ones do not meet in the middle and also have varying gaps. Interesting. I’ve never had any of them that Onedrop assembled. They wanted to assemble with their own axle, so that’s the black one. Alloy steel set screw, with Loctite. I use Stainless Steel screws on the ones I sell, and no Loctite. Take the Onedrop Side Effect, and stick it in some really hot water for a minute. You should then be able to drive that axle in another turn. ---

Awesome! Thank you! I have a few one drop brass where the axle sticks out so ■■■■■■■ far they don’t even fit their own yo-yos well so now i know how to fix those too haha. ---

Be careful of One Drop’s axles oxidizing, it happens pretty easily with non stainless steel. ---

Drop some yoyo lube on the axles to prevent this. ---

Thanks for the heads up! I have a box of 400 stainless set screws somewhere in my garage, maybe I just unscrew the one drop axle completely and stick a fresh one in. ---

Cody has slimline d bearings covered so I sent a Jake Bullock Dink and a Freshly Dirty Featherweight Canary. I was actually eyeing those two for a while so I bought them and shipped to Brian instead of me. :joy: good excuse to buy a couple yo-yos. ---

I’ve done so much stupid ■■■■ with notabearings, I have a fixed axle Galaxy Dinosaur right now :joy: basically I’ll pop one in anything for some fun. I love them. So imagine my surprise when I got the moistmaker and didn’t like the notabearing in it. I couldn’t get a response, Yoyo would not come up at all, like a rock on a string lol. I popped a greased 10 ball in and that worked but I really wanted to use the fixed axle. Then I remembered the old school Yoyo trick and put some chapstick on the string. 10/10 perfect response now. Excuse my rambling but sharing in case anyone else gets a moistmaker and has some initial struggles. ---

lol if more folks have the issue I would just throw a tube of chapstick in each box with a note. That made the notabearing work perfect. ---

Remember string is a big part of the response characteristics of fixed play. Materials, Thickness all matter. Modern responsive is similar, but slightly less critical. Not as important on unresponsives. This is one of the reasons Cotton is preferred. Tighter string torrsion and double looping the blank may help depending on string material used.
