What are all elements I should know for tricks/combos? I know that sounds weird coming from someone who’s had yoyos for a year, but, I’ve been on/off for a year, and I want to know what I should know as far as basic elements are concerned. Just list them all, even if I know some of them. ---

I find myself using that first slack element alot. It always adds a certain flair into tricks, and if you can master it, you can use it to move into other tricks and combos. ---

There are new elements and concepts created every day. This makes it fairly difficult to make a list of “must-have elements.” I personally think that the elements you are attracted to and like to use in your tricks are what defines your style. My recommendation would be to watch lots of yoyo videos and see whose videos you tend to really like, and then analyze “why” you like them. What moves are they doing that you are drawn to? If you can figure it out, then start learning those particular elements, which you can then start tweaking to your own liking. It’s not an exact science finding and creating elements you like though, so just do what is cool to you. ---

Almost all of my tricks I’ve made so far start of in it xD I’ve also used a Yuuki-Slack styled slack in one of my tricks I’m working on at the moment, so, I see where it’s useful. Thanks for the help guys 🙂 I plan on making a video after I get a decent amount of tricks that I feel are “presentable” 🙂 ---

I always like to throw in some slacks, whips, and maybe a rejection. You should try some of those, but mostly, just be creative, and experiment with stuff, and maybe try to build off some tricks. ---
