Imagine something like really quality vanilla ice cream with hight butter fat content mixed with chai spices and served cold. Rich, sweet, creamy, buttery, sweet spices… Americans celebrate a make believe holiday based on mythical events called “Thanksgiving”. It’s where families gather and bicker while eating too much. But, it’s worth it because there’s usually egg nog.

In Scandinavia we laugh at your shortage of Christmas snacks. Our amount of christmas pastry is so immense that it created a butter-shortage in Norway last year (combined with a huge popularity-boost for the low-carb/high-fat diet). This year, we are actually breaking down the customs-barrier so that we have enough butter to bake this stuff.
This year I even get to celebrate Christmas in Denmark, which really is the best country when it comes to pastry. I also get to eat duck again, which is a very underestimated bird.
