# Editing songs to use in competitions and routines

Hey guys. So i have this song that i want to use but the song has some words and such (f word kinda loud). When i see competitions i see that alot of the competetoors have the background instruments louder and they reduced the vocals. I was wondering how they did that and also if there was a way to split that with the actual vocals, in that way then i could delete or _beep_ out the profanity. Then i would be able to use it for school and such.
Any tips and help would be appreciated. Thanks.
