# Dying a gamma crash?

Want to try dying a gamma crash with hot water and idye poly, is there a chance the heat could make the rings expand and fall off?

If it helps, I couldn’t get some of the axles or metal bearing seats out of a couple yoyos I dyed and they still came out fine?
