I’m getting a plastic SEVERE. I was wondering if you could dye it like polycarbonate/ molded plastics. And would it involve the same steps? Same consequences if done wrong?

Pics please 😃

From what I’ve seen you can dye delrin/celcon using very hot water. No acetone required (or wanted).

1/3 water, 1/3 rit dye and 1/3 google.
Use a long screw that fits in the axle hole, its great to dye throws.
If you dye your halves seperatly, use a timer and use same temperature water for both sides.

For a small price, I would be willing to customs dye delrins for people. Check out pics of whatever done so far:

Just a reminder in case you’re new to dyeing, you cannot dye black plastic.

Would you use glue to mask the areas you’re dying?
