# DV8ish Mod Reborn!

Some of you may remember [“My Take On The DV8”](http://www.yoyonation.com/talk/index.php/topic,34881.0.html) a while back. I had a few that ended up with mad vibe, so I just tossed them to the side and thought ‘eh, one day I’ll get around to fixing them’. After receiving a few SPRs from Born Crucial, I decided to attempt to breathe life back into one of the most awesome looking ones I had made! I started out with a Menehune that had been dyed by Dave Bazan himself! I got it in trade from Rivi quite a while back. After doing the DV8ish mod to it, I was sorely disappointed that it turned out with a LOT of vibe. I decided this morning that I was going to try to recess one of the large bearing BC spacers into. I really didn’t have anything to lose, after all! Well, it turned out great! One of the smoothest DV8ish mods I’ve ever done! I quickly went to work on the others sitting on my bench, and I can honestly say that the 5 DV8ish that I ended up with play awesome! I have an original DV8, and they play much better than the original. There is still vibe on a bad throw just because of the sheer width of the thing! I have heard people say it feels like ‘throwing a Coke can’! Anyway, here are the pics of the finished product!

Yes, it is a C size bearing.
There are no immediate plans on doing another run of Boltlegs. But, if demand became high enough and I found the time, it could be a possibility.

he’s saying hes making an impression of a dv8, aka a bootleg, bootleg doesn’t necessarily mean worse or superior.

Yeah that’s not really what a Boltleg is. I believe a Boltleg is a modded projam or something. Never really cared about them.

The Boltleg was a fundraising project I did a couple of years ago. Sold around 200, which raised the money to buy 200 stock ProJams which I gave away at various times. It was kind of a fun name since the end result was similar to a Bolt. I combined Bolt with bootleg and called it the Boltleg.
