I have Duncan’s replica of a 1955 Super Yoyo Tournament Tops… I was wondering how to keep the halves from flying apart mid trick…its very valuable to me,…my 1st successful looper.I’ve also seen Angelo Aguilar w same yoyo, his falls apart too lol…am really concerned about fixing the gap width too much or too little…idk thanks for your kind input…

I dropped a drop of wood glue into the hole of the half that fell off.
Squeezed it back together.
Let dry.
Good to go.

If you dig it for looping, I would track down some original super tournaments since they are one piece. If you’re looking on eBay the trademark r logo will be on the word yoyo on the originals and the reproductions will have the registered trademark logo on the word Duncan.
