Agreed on the name change and the sentiment! I’ve been extremely impressed with my Grasshopper GTX 2 and look forward to trying more Duncan bimetals going forward. They’ve been churning out incredible throws lately and I’m very happy with the direction they’re going now!

My “high end” Duncan at present is the Barracuda X. It is my lightest feeling and most nimble throw. I’m really wanting to get a Haymaker OG and I’ve wanted a Yoshicuda X for a while too. I love my FH1 AL and the Mini is also super fun. And I’ve gotta say that I’m pretty darn impressed with the new Glow Imperial. I know it’s only an Imperial but it really seems like the used a more solid feeling plastic on it. Except for the early GITD Imperials the plastic was translucent. These guys have opaque plastic like the early ones. Am I wrong ?

The Haymaker Experimental was the first high end throw I purchased after getting back into yoyos several years ago. The quality is excellent. In fact, it is still the screen save on my iPhone.

I love Duncan which is why I brought up the concern which fortunately and unfortunately seem to be the only one experiencing.

Is that experimental like a prototype, or was that what it was called? Just a different run? I really like the look of the OG and I’m really into slightly undersized throws so several people have recommended it. I had my eyes on the Yoshicuda for a long time because I really like the Barracuda a lot but the way people talk about the Haymaker OG I feel like that’s where I’ll go. I prefer to really make sure before I pull the trigger so I don’t feel the need to get what I wanted before I changed my mind. You know. Boomers don’t like spending money. 🤣

This Haymaker is not small at all. It is slightly larger than my other throws. Beautiful and well crafted. I am pretty sure it was a prototype.

I had same issue. Bought a grasshopper 2.0 in there yoyo day sale came with vibe
And it took 2 weeks to get any tracking updates and another 2 weeks to get it.
Im uk and have ordered from mainland europe, australia, and america and stuff has only taken a week maybe a week and a half tops. 4 weeks for my first order and to get a vibey yoyo is just bad

I think Duncan is literally killing it lately, both in yoyo models and also team players, they are selecting very very good players and it reflect on their yoyos and signature, the GTR-JS is one of the best yoyos out there and probably is the Veylaa (at least reading reviews around), so happy about Duncan it seems such a great brand honestly, wish they can fix the issues with the shipping from their site, I seen some people in UK having problems with it and also around the world.

That Beta looks like an absolute beast!! Also looks like it would have an amazing feel to it. I am certain to be begging the BST for a Haymaker OG one day soon. $80 may not seem like much t a lot of people but it’s hard for me to swing so used works great for me. I mean… I always thought Duncan’s were made to be handed down anyways. 😃
