Does it matter? Difeyo Konkave is not 10 ball either but it’s smoother and quieter than pretty much any other 8 ball I’ve tried.

I was surprized to find only 8 in all of mine too. I now have Steel, Gold and Plats in DS. They all play the same, gold looks cooler, plats sound cooler steel is least expensive. 🙂

The golds might look cooler to you at first, but give them a month or so and they will no longer be gold.  
That’s why I go with the platinum’s.

ive been using gold DS for over a year now, and while it does lose its shiny luster in the center where the string lives, i can still tell at the smallest glance its the gold one. 🙂 Drop it in a dark purple throw and it beams Bling Bling once again haha.
