While the name started as an internal project codename, its sleek, aggressive identity stuck. The Thruline is also an experiment in one drops idea of “dark side/ light side”, leaning into the dark side, and it shreds. I would imagine this is similar, and looks to be a more friendly diameter, tho I like my big floaty boi
Edit: I have been informed they are much different by someone who has played both.

I got a DS-61 from a NQP box recently, I am still getting used to the width, but it is an impressive throw.
If you can afford it, don’t sleep on it, I don’t have anything in my collection that plays like this one does

Any chance we’ll see a DS-75 some day? I love-love-love my ds-61, it would be amazing to see what an “upgrade” looked like.
