# Does opening a YoYo cause damage?!?

U could use tweezers or something! Don’t take ur yoyo apart to insert the string or to fix it! It messes it up!

I literally did this for 14 years until the past summer when I finally started just unwinding the string. I never had a problem w/ axles falling out (granted, most axles were much more solidly in throws back in the day) but the main benefit imo is that it’s faster, especially once you get the hang of it.
