Hi. I have a few bearings I was going to clean, but they don’t have c clips that hold the shield on. Do I just start prying on the shield? ---

You might have to look more carefully. Also, sometimes the ends of the clip are very close together, making it difficult to find and pop out. If you don’t really care about your shields, though, might as well wrench em out and toss them. ---

If they don’t have clips, I pop out shields by pressing on one side with a nail or pen. This deforms them enough to slide a pin under them, then pop them up.
