Response is a spectrum of time it takes from when you give the yoyo slack to when it actually returns. Semi-responsive in this context means the yoyo has a narrow gap width and a lubed bearing (it is a responsive yoyo), but with some play as the lube breaks down/escapes the bearing it’ll gradually start to take longer to respond. Think of a Freehand that you’ve played for a long while, where you’ve worn down the response and the bearing is starting to spin more freely. The greasebucket bearings alleviate this by helping the grease stay in the bearing, so the response stays quick and snappy for far longer, ie it stays fully responsive with less maintenance. If you didn’t pick up a greasebucket bearing, you can still just add more lube periodically to keep the response where you want it. ---

I’m now part of the Deepest State. I haven’t tried it yet with the Greasebucket. Which is one of the coolest names, which I wired into a couple Fenders. And if I could order a custom color it would be the blacker than black Cerakote. What’s your fave so far? How’s the new one stack up??? THE PEOPLE HAVE TO KNOW? I’ve been playing round with all mine. My opinion changes from time to time, but I too have a white cerakote deeper state that is absolutely butter smooth. Aside from one modded by a buddy, it’s gotta be my fave. ---

While mine _could have_ arrived this past Saturday, USPS decided to just send my stuff back and forth between 2 distribution centers several times instead of getting it to its destination. They’ll be here today. Just gotta get through a work day and then can finally partake in the fun everyone has been having with their deepest states. I guess I’ll take my Deeper to work with me while I wait 🙂 ---

Hopefully it arrives today. My orders have a habit of bouncing between various cities before it leaves Oregon. It also has a sweet color when it’s spinning. So far I’m feeling this is the best version yet. ---

My favorite so far is the Deepest State. Only thing I’ve played with changing is the string. Running it stock with I believe it’s Type X string. It’s playing about perfect for me, just responsive enough without getting it unexpectedly returning and smacking me. Yet pops right back when I want. My Deeper State was the most difficult for me to get where I want it. But I agree the Cerakote is fantastic. Do you have or tried a Cerakote Deep State? That one I’m really enjoying but I have it fairly responsive. What mods did your friend do? Wait to hear what you think of the new one when you get it. ---

Stock, as in what’s on the yoyo in the box, is our standard basic 100% poly string. For the first run, there is a Ntyro string included in the box. ---

I haven’t yet used the Nitro that’s supplied. I’ve used it previously but for this I grabbed some Type X I already had. I liked the play with the stock One Drop string so that’s why I went with Type X.
