# Deep State: running it unresponsive vs. responsive?

Not sure a 1/2 spec will work too well? It’s already a small gap for a C bearing yo-yo… Plus the axle in the SE might be too long for a 1/2 spec.

Has anybody here tried it?

Anyway, lube it up with the flat bearing, and put a nice fat string like Ammo in it, and you can loop and STM fine with it!

Er yeah what ↑↑↑↑ he said. There are recesses in the deep state that cause the wide C bearing to be effectively “cut down” to narrow C bearing size. Put in an actual narrow bearing and I expect the gap would be so tiny it’d be unusable!

Tried it out. 1/2 spec doesn’t work, the Side Effects bottom out to keep it tight enough while playing. Though I got a couple of loops in, the gap isn’t any tighter than a looping Yo.

Got my Gray Scale Deep State in the mail today. Definitely a wise choice. I see a few more of these in my future!
