# Dark Magic weight rings?

Does anyone know how to remove the aluminum weight rings on a dark magic II. I want to try to polish them and such. Help is appreciated.

IDK a lot of strength and the ability to accept that taking off the rims might ruin the yoyo. hope this helped? :wink:

You can polish the YoYo without removing the rings. It’s actually easier since you have attach the YoYo to the drill, and you would not be able to if you remove the rings.

Im about to polish my DM2. Can I do it by hand or do I need a drill?

You can satin and Polish(my phone thinks I’m talking about the people from Poland, haha)by hand, but don’t expect it to happen fast. Good for long car rides.
